We are doing our first fundraiser for new developments at www.RXDDapps.com!

But rather than just ask for donations, we decided to make it fun by having a Name That Machine contest! There are 10 RX0 miners on blockminerz that are in dire need of new names, poor things just have plain IDs. We want you, the wonderful, amazing and creative RXD community, to help decide their names! It could be a normal name, something cool, something funny, something to make me utterly regret this idea. But in order to submit a name, you have to make a donation towards development! Once all the names have been submitted, a new name for each machine will be chosen with a variety of methods and then assigned to that machine on Blockminerz.com. Thereafter, you can see the workers hashing their chips off for network security, maybe send your own machines to join them on the hunt for blocks, or just brag about your name getting picked! A big thank you to CraigD at www.blockminerz.com for supporting this endeavor and extending the 0% RXD pool fee promo through the end of April!!! Join the pool now and keep all your earnings!

Game Rules:

  • Each entry is for 1 name for 1 machine. If you want to submit the same name for multiple machines, it will cost multiple entries.
  • NSFW names ARE allowed but subject to review by myself and the pool admin. Nothing profane or hateful will be allowed, but otherwise the sky's the limit (I feel I’ll regret saying that lol).
  • A name can NOT contain special characters or be more than 32 characters long.
  • You cannot change a name once submitted.
  • If the same name is submitted by different people, only the first submission will count in the final tally for prizes.
  • The contest starts now and ends on Sunday April 30th. Developments are already underway.
  • The status of the miners can always be viewed at this link: View Miner Status

Why are we fundraising:

Our team, like most contributors for Radiant, works on a voluntary at-will basis for all but the most complicated aspects of a project that require a professional skill set we don’t have on staff. We have thus far covered those costs at our own expense when we can and will continue to do so as long as there is a community behind RXD. But we are not rich, not mega whales or millionaires. We all have day jobs and contribute when we can in our free time because we enjoy the tech, believe in the possibilities and want to see a most Radiant future. We would like to release projects more often at a steady pace and the single biggest hurdle for that is funding. We estimate that every $2k would roughly equate to another month worth of development work. The actual costs will vary based on the complexity of the current project at hand, as will timelines, but this is a good estimate based on the current line up.

Let’s talk about how donations are managed:

As project manager and main financier of RXDDapps thus far, I HippiePyro am the sole key holder of the donated funds. They are stored offline in cold storage at a private location with keys that have never touched the internet. Outgoing transactions are signed offline and then broadcast via public nodes. With our target amount being relatively low and the distributed, at-will nature of our team structure in a time sensitive industry, this is the most secure and efficient way to maintain access at this stage, as opposed to using a multi sig wallet. While some people in the Radiant community already know my identity, I’m not going to dox myself for a small fundraiser. The personal security risks outweigh the benefits, and my government identity is already out there if you look hard enough. I will keep building on Radiant as long as I am able regardless of how this fundraiser goes. All I can offer as a measure of trust is to look at the projects we have released so far from RXDDapps and my prior work and contributions to Radiant in the 2 years I have been here. If after that you aren’t comfortable donating towards this funding setup, then don’t, I completely understand. For those that do, I will publish a report of how funds are spent on a regular basis to keep the community updated. But before we get to that plan, let’s clear up some other questions in advance by stating clearly what these funds are definitely not going to be used for:

  • No prizes on our faucetgames platform. (This is already funded for the next year+)
  • No exchange listings.
  • No investments of any sort (Looking at you Xeggex.)
  • No closed-source RXDDapps projects.
  • No Radiant themed vacation islands. (Sorry Sunny)
  • No staff bonuses.
  • No lambos or fancy dinners for the wife. (Sorry wife)

Donation Milestones:

Now let’s get to the good stuff, what these donations will be used for! We have set out milestones based on the total amount donated. Each milestone determines the goals we aim to achieve. The more we raise, the more we can do to help Radiant grow! As such, we have set a main goal for this fundraiser of $20,000! Enough to continue steady developments all the way into 2026! These donations are only used for the ongoing development and associated costs of new projects on RXD, like those outlined on our projects page. Some examples of these costs are txn fees, server costs, beta testing, consultations, audits, and other small costs that can add up over time. However, the bulk of the funds raised will be used for hiring proven developers for quality, verifiable work building new open source tools, dapps, and advancements for Radiant.

  • $1-1000: This level of donations will cover the majority of non-development fees well into 2026.
  • $1000-5000: While most of these projects are already in early stages of development, additionally funding can allow work to be done in parallel leading to faster results.
    • Super stat explorer- a block explorer we all have dreamed of for RXD, tokens, NFTS, and every statistic we can think of.
    • New project voting platform- a way for the community to show interest in a new project and support them with funding, or post their own projects and ideas to get voted and funded.
    • New documentation for using Radiantscript and rpc node commands.
  • $5000-10000: Enhanced dev tools such as:
    • Easier testnet access and dev environments for devs new to RXD
    • Improve upon Photonic to increase NFT capabilities
    • New node GUI built for user friendliness
  • $10,000-$20,000: This will allow us to build some of the most complicated tools yet. Reaching the full goal would fund continued development of basic RXDDapps projects and associated costs for the rest of the year and into 2026!
    • A new code library to bridge RXD with other languages, increasing interoperability with different blockchains.
    • Basic on-chain games
    • Framework standards for tokenized IDs and security protocols

But what if we surpass our goal?

But what if we surpass our goal? The largest single donation in the history of Radiant was $20,000 all on its own, making it a perfect target for this fundraiser! And yet there is no cap on donations, and this community has raised even more in the past, so what happens with funds beyond this target?

Imagine what could be achieved with extreme amounts of funding put towards development! I like to be a dreamer, and this community is always full of surprises, so here’s a breakdown of what will happen, just in case:

$20,000 - $50,000

How amazing it would be to exceed the main goal like this! If the total donations reach this level, funds will be divided as follows:

  • 50% to secure development of bigger RXDDapps projects, such as node enhancements and new node types.
  • 20% to a Radiant-oriented marketing campaign.
  • 10% to a full code audit of the node and contracts, looking for vulnerabilities and improvement opportunities.
  • 10% to the Radiant Community Fund.
  • 10% to the Radiant Foundation.

$50,000 - $100,000

What a dream to raise these kinds of funds for the future of Radiant! Donations at this level will be split as follows:

  • 50% to staff full-time developers on bigger projects, like the Waves or Gravity protocols.
  • 20% to the Radiant Community Fund.
  • 20% to the Radiant Foundation.
  • 10% to continued Radiant marketing campaigns.

$100,000+

This is a moonshot amount, but if we break the previous record for total donations by the RXD community in a single fundraiser, I will quit my day job and be a public, full-time project manager building on Radiant for a wage equal only to the bills of my minimalist lifestyle.

All other funds at this level will be used for:

  • Public Team Expansions
  • Continuous new development of future community-voted projects

Donation Pricing & Entries

To enter a name, first, you have to make a donation. The bigger the donation, the more entries you can submit. The entries have an individual base price of $10 in RXD (approximately) or $5 in USDT.

There are also some great discounts available if you purchase in bundles, especially when using USDT! This difference in value is because stablecoins are simply easier to do business with, and we don’t want to swap RXD—we want you to HODL coins like we do!

We value RXD greatly and believe it will surely increase in usefulness as we build more tools to enhance its capabilities. We gladly accept donations of it as well. Of course, you don’t have to use all your entries or come up with any names at all. Anonymous donations are always welcome.

Pricing Table

Entries RXD Amount USDT Amount
1 30k RXD $5 USDT
5 150k RXD $20 USDT
10 250k RXD $40 USDT
20 500k RXD $70 USDT
50 1M RXD $150 USDT
100 3M RXD $250 USDT
500 5M RXD $1000 USDT

Donation Rules

You can donate as many times as you like in multiple ways to step up to the next tier bundle, but you must use the same Username/Contact Email on each submission form for them to be counted correctly.

Donations do not have to be exact amounts—every $5 worth of donations will be applied to a bundle tier in a way that maximizes your entries. For example:

  • A $50 donation would get 12 entries (10+1+1 for $40+$5+$5).
  • A $53 donation would still get 12 entries, as $3 does not meet the $5 minimum.
  • A $100 donation would yield 27 entries (20+5+1+1 for $70+$20+$5+$5).

Important Notes

  • Donations are non-refundable.
  • Double-check the address before sending—incorrect transactions cannot be recovered.
  • Only send donations to the official addresses listed below.
  • All funds will be used exclusively for development as outlined above.

Prizes

The winning name for each machine will be decided from its list of submissions as follows:

  • The top 3 donors will each get to name one machine.
  • The first 2 donors to surpass $1000 in donations will each name one machine.
  • 2 names will be decided by a community-wide poll: one in Discord and one on Twitter.
  • 2 of the community Discord admins, gsb and Art, will each decide a name.
  • 1 will be named by an AI prompted with the list of names and description of the miner.
  • 1 will be picked at random via an online picker.

Bonus Prizes for Everyone!

We love it when everyone wins! In addition to naming rights, there are special rewards for all donors and the Radiant Community.

  • Each miner will have a minted NFT with its new name, sent to the winning submission address!
  • The top 3 donors will also receive a special Top Tier donation NFT, custom made by one of our designers.
  • Everyone who donates and submits a Photonic address will receive a special donor NFT, with future perks in the RXDDapps ecosystem!
  • For every $1000 raised, 1% of all these miners' future earnings will be donated between the Radiant Community Fund and the Radiant Foundation!
    • $5k raised = 2.5% to each fund.
    • Up to the main goal, yielding 10% to each fund!

Submitting Your Entries

After making a donation, use your transaction ID (tx ID) on the form here to choose your miner and submit your name entries.

You can make multiple submissions with the same tx ID, so you don’t have to select all names for a bundle at once or from the same device.

Radiant Racks Miners

Meet the awesome miners below and get to know them a bit to help pick a name. They all reside in a 5-story complex known as the Radiant Racks. Powered by green energy at 240V, featuring 24/7 climate control, and of course, an inherent 5% boost from the RGB, it is surely one of the nicest places an ASIC could call home.

Miner Profiles

R0B

R0B came to the Radiant Racks from the tropics of Mexico, sporting a forest green shroud powered with an 1800 RPM fan from her travels to Canada. This modest machine keeps her cables tight and chips cool with a bonus USB fan on top. She may have a couple of loose screws, but don't let that fool you. Sharing a 480W Drok PSU with her twin, she has already found 3 blocks and averages 400GH, earning her a spot on the penthouse level with her twin.

R0C

R0C is the wild twin of our first machine. Also from Mexico, she is known to hop from pool to pool on a whim, with loose screws and cables flying every which way. Rocking an extra USB fan to keep cool after the extra power, she separates herself from her twin with a 9-blade red Sama fan on her green shroud. While averaging 380GH, she occasionally goes ham and pushes out 420, resulting in her matching her sister's 3 blocks so far.

R0D

After traveling all around the USA, R0D has come to call the 4th level home. Packing a beefy 230W PSU, he has quickly risen through the ranks after already finding 2 blocks with only 360GH. Known to disappear for a rave now and then, his blue shroud, bright red fan, and solid metal grill absolutely shine on the dance floor!

R0E

Sharing the fourth floor, R0E is a really tough machine. Growing up in the Rockies, he has been climbing mountains with a powerful 9-blade fan in a bright orange safety shroud. Boasting a solid 330GH off a 200W PSU, he once managed to find 2 blocks in the same day, nearly back-to-back.

R0F

Coming to us from the crazy land of Florida, R0F is a wildman. Full of holes from his days as a gator hunter, he is still partial to his green shroud for camo. Nowadays, he hunts for blocks from the 3rd floor pushing 350GH. He occasionally goes wild and exceeds over 400 with only a 200W PSU! Hope this isn’t from some sort of electro-juicing habit, but that would explain his lack of blocks found so far.

R0G

R0G likes to spend her days on the 3rd shelf reminiscing about her days as a snowboarder up in the great north. With a sparkly dark blue shroud and a red LED fan, she now shreds the peaks of network difficulty in search of her first block with us.

R0H

R0H is a rather casual machine, keeping her cables loose and vents open. Her red fan and blue shroud give her a purplish glow. Being a former crystal collector, she uses a 220W PSU to search for a 3rd block in her collection of blockchain gems.

R0I

R0I moved to the Radiant Rack Complex from across the sea in China. Being a hardcore safety advocate from the traffic cone industry, she chases her first block in proper PPE. Her bright orange shroud, shiny grill, and flashing red light always make her stand out even on the 2nd floor. With a solid 350GH @ 155W, her unmatched efficiency is sure to pay off soon!

R0J

Coming to us from across the other ocean, R0J has her roots in French wine making. Using her flashy fan on a shiny shroud, she maintained a perfect heat for many batches of must. With a casual 330GH, she's already scored one block from her street-level location and searches for more day and night!

R0K

R0K is our newest resident, moving here from Germany to show off her Christmas spirit with a green shroud, red fan, and cables! Being a bit of a prude, she stays true to her stock roots and never over dance floor!
